New students who have never taken an ISU class must fill out an application online through Iowa State admissions. You will need to self-identify as a freshman, transfer, international undergraduate, graduate, nondegree, or returning student. As an online student, you should also check that your device meet our computer requirements.

Note: Graduate students should review their program requirements before applying to a program.

You should receive an email with your admission status in about a week. Once you're accepted to Iowa State University, move on to step two!
